Beel Photography Instructional Photo Tours of Colorado

If you are wondering what are the functions of all those buttons on your digital camera, then this is the class for you! This hands-on-camera class will teach you the basics of the digital camera to improve your photography. Two sessions, plus raindates are set for this summer. Classes will be limited to between six and nine students, to allow individual, as well as, group instruction.

Session 1 Dates: Sunday, June 2, 2019, with a rain date of Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Session 2 Dates: Sunday, August 4, 2019, with a rain date of Sunday, August 11, 2019.

Class times are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 2-hour break for lunch and travel time to the second site. Between 4:15 and 5:00 p.m. will be Questions and Fun Tips Time.

We will begin photographing in a Nature Enviroment at the Arkansas River, or one of its tributaries, setting starting at 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. After a 2-hour break for lunch, we will move to an Architectual Enviroment and possibly another Nature Setting, to continue instruction, learning, and questions and tips time from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Topics to be covered: Digital Camera Care and Handling, Composition, Tripod Set-up and Use, Focusing, Adjusting for Light and Shadows, Manual Camera Settings to include Shutter Speed and Aperature. We will also determine how to select the Image Size and Image Resolution. 

Equipment list for students: Digital Camera, Batteries, Extra SD Cards, Tripod, Sturdy Footware, Water, Individual Sun Protection, such as Hat and Suncare. Students are responsible for their own transportation, and will be required to sign a waiver at the beginning of the day. 

Cost of the one-day class is $149.95.
